What is PathWell?
Pathwell is a mental health walk-in clinic providing same-day, non-emergency emotional and psychological support for children, youth, adults, seniors, and families.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Pathwell is a walk-in service. You can attend anytime during our operating hours.
Do you complete assessments and diagnosing?
Yes. Our Nurse Practitioner is fully qualified to complete mental health assessments, diagnose conditions when appropriate, and provide medical referrals or follow-up recommendations.
What kinds of concerns can I come in for?
We support anxiety, depression, stress, panic, emotional overwhelm, grief, behavioural challenges, parenting issues, school struggles, and other non-emergency mental health needs.
How long is a session?
Sessions are approximately 45 minutes, depending on your needs.
Are fees covered by insurance?
Yes. Fees may be covered through: • Private insurance or employee benefits • NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) • Fee-for-service programs • Many third-party insurance companies
Can I bring a family member or support person?
Yes. You are welcome to bring someone with you, and we can include them in the session if desired.
What are your wait times?
Most clients are seen within 10–20 minutes. Children and urgent needs may be prioritized.
Do you support addiction concerns?
Yes. We provide immediate emotional support, harm-reduction strategies, safety planning, and referrals for long-term treatment.
Do you offer services in Sault Ste. Marie?
Yes. Pathwell supports both our Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie campuses.
What should I bring?
Nothing is required. However, medication lists or relevant documents can be helpful.
Do you offer culturally sensitive or language-inclusive services?
Yes. We offer culturally informed care and can arrange translation support when possible.
